When the end of summer hits, the basil plants in our garden start to resemble a small forest. Lucky for me, I married a waste-not-want-not type of guy, who harvests our basil by the handfuls and turns it into pesto. After a quick zing in the food processor, he puts it into ice cube trays, which guarantees us pesto through the winter. What’s not to love?
